Terms of Use

Welcome to Ink and Anvil ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ink and Anvil website, application, content creation tools, and services (collectively, the "Platform").

By creating an account, browsing content, or making purchases on the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Platform, you affirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Accounts and Subscriptions

We offer the following user tiers:

Free Tier:

Upload and sell your own content (PDF, TXT, Markdown), limited feature access.

Basic Tier ($9.99/month):

Unlocks our structured markdown editor and templated content creation tools.

Premium Tier ($19.99/month):

Full access to all AI-powered features and advanced tools.

Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your account settings.

3. Content Ownership and Licensing

Creators

All content you create and publish on the Platform remains your intellectual property. However, by uploading or publishing content, you grant Ink and Anvil a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, promote, and sell your content on the Platform.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content:

  • Does not infringe on any third-party rights (including but not limited to WoTC trademarks)
  • Is appropriately categorized and described
  • Does not contain prohibited, offensive, or illegal material

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

4. Marketplace & Payments

Ink and Anvil uses Stripe Connect to process payments. When you sell content, your earnings will be calculated after deducting platform fees and payment processing fees, then disbursed to your connected Stripe account.

Fee Structure:

  • Platform Fees:
    • • Free and Basic creators: 15% of sale price
    • • Premium creators: 10% of sale price
  • Payment Processing Fees:
    • • 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction (Stripe processing)
    • • These fees are industry-standard and cover secure payment processing

Example: On a $10 sale, a Premium creator receives $8.41 ($10 - $1.00 platform fee - $0.59 processing fee)

Important Notes:

  • • All fees are deducted before payouts to creators
  • • Processing fees are charged by our payment processor (Stripe) and are necessary for secure transaction processing
  • • Fee rates may be adjusted with 30 days notice to creators
  • • Refunded transactions will have fees reversed proportionally

You are solely responsible for your own tax reporting and compliance.

5. Refund Policy

We want every user to have a great experience on Ink and Anvil. If you are dissatisfied with a purchase or subscribed in error, you may request a refund under the following conditions:

  • Requests must be submitted within 14 days of the transaction
  • Only one refund per user per 60 days is guaranteed; further refunds are at our discretion
  • Refunds will not be granted for content that has been downloaded or consumed in full unless it is clearly broken or misrepresented
  • Refunds are not automated—you must email support@inkandanvil.app with your request

We reserve the right to refuse refunds to prevent abuse or fraudulent behavior.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Upload malicious code, bots, or attempt to scrape the platform
  • Infringe on others' intellectual property
  • Abuse AI tools for spam or exploitative generation
  • Use Ink and Anvil to host, sell, or share non-TTRPG or unrelated digital content
  • Circumvent subscription or paywall restrictions

Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

7. AI-Assisted Content

Premium subscribers may use our AI tools to generate content. All AI output is provided "as-is" and may require user editing or review for balance, accuracy, or originality.

Users are responsible for AI-generated content they publish.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We'll notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notifications.

Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the new terms.

You may close your account at any time. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account without notice if you violate these Terms.

11. Earnings Disclosure & Creator Payouts

By selling content through Ink and Anvil, you acknowledge that:

  • You are not employed by Ink and Anvil, and nothing in our relationship creates an employer-employee or contractor-client arrangement.
  • You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on income earned through the Platform.
  • You must have a valid Stripe Connect account to receive payouts. Ink and Anvil does not store or control your payment credentials.
  • Ink and Anvil retains a platform fee (15% for Free/Basic users, 10% for Premium users) on all transactions.
  • We reserve the right to modify platform fees in the future, with notice provided at least 14 days in advance.
  • Ink and Anvil does not guarantee a specific volume of sales, exposure, or earnings. All earnings are dependent on customer demand and marketplace activity.
