
The Scarring of Moonhold
Moonhold invites players into the heart of the ancient Elven city, where the fabled Gathering Under the Moonlit Canopy draws strangers into destiny’s path. As the moonlight reveals hidden omens, the adventurers meet Lirael Moonshadow, who guides them toward a looming disturbance centered on the Moonlit Tower. From here, the party may follow diverging paths: * Moonhold Lake & The Drowned Village — aided by Aerich Brewstone, the heroes descend into sunken ruins where a haunting puzzle can awaken long-forgotten villagers, including the enigmatic Merlin Stormfist. Their choices here open secrets that may bypass entire tower levels. * The Moonlit Tower — a multi-layered dungeon filled with riddles, spectral allies and foes, perilous puzzles, and lethal encounters. Players may earn the aid of Anelia the Specter, face the Luminous Gravekeeper, and survive deadly chambers of ghouls and cursed relics. At the tower’s pinnacle, the necromancer Valtoris, the Orb Breaker attempts to shatter the arcane Orb and release the ancient evil Annakar Dun’kel. Though the party may triumph over Valtoris, the Orb’s destruction is inevitable — unleashing catastrophe upon Moonhold. When the heroes return, the once-glorious city is reduced to ash and horror. A vast abyss — the Scar — splits Moonhold in two, with demons flooding the streets and slaughtering its people. The adventure ends not with victory, but with a desperate glimpse into the next struggle. Designed for characters of level 5, this adventure offers 9–14 sessions of exploration, roleplay, puzzles, and combat — with choices that meaningfully alter how players experience the story, while steering them toward an epic, world-shattering conclusion.
